Protected Species Observers / Marine Mammal Observers
We have the need for Anchorage, Alaska-based protected species observers for land-based work beginning in April 2020. In winter 2020, we plan to hire two or three Lead PSOs with 100 days or more Cook Inlet MMO/PSO experience, and five to eight additional junior/entry-level PSOs.
If you have a degree in biology, marine biology, wildlife biology/management or other relevant degree, experience collecting field data, and are willing to work outdoors in all weather, we would love to hear from you! If you have experience in Cook Inlet collecting data on marine mammals from land-based stations, vessels, off-shore platforms, or have conducted aerial surveys, we would be very interested discussing your qualifications.
